Former Compass California Commercial President Stephen Pugh Joins Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices

Pugh is the second former member of the Compass California management team
to join Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices in the past two months

One of the Bay Area’s top ranked commercial real estate professionals is bringing his expertise to Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Drysdale Properties (BHHS/DP). Stephen Pugh was formerly the president of Compass California’s commercial division and has represented the  sale of more than $2.1 billion in multi-family and other commercial properties in San Francisco and the Bay Area for the past 33 years.

Pugh will serve as the Director of Commercial Real Estate Strategy for BHHS/DP as the company continues its expansion in California and Nevada. This is the second former member of Compass California’s management team to join BHHS/DP recently.  In February, former Compass California COO Brent Thomson joined BHHS/DP as a strategic growth advisor focused on the expanding the brokerage across California and Nevada.

“Stephen Pugh and his team have been market influencers in the San Francisco commercial market for decades,” said Gretchen Pearson, president and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Drysdale Properties. “We are honored to have them join our team of professionals, and they’re a perfect blend to our existing core. The team’s exodus from Compass to Berkshire Hathaway demonstrates that top agents understand the power and reach of Berkshire Hathaway.”

As president of Compass Commercial in San Francisco, Pugh led the 2018 to 2022 transition and integration of Pacific Union International’s commercial real estate team into Compass California’s commercial division based in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Pugh served as president for Alain Pinel, Paragon, and Pacific Union International as they transitioned to Compass California. Pugh left the presidency of Compass California’s commercial division in 2022, staying with the brand as head of a team of real estate professionals until joining BHHS/DP last week.

"I'm excited to join such an outstanding leadership team,” says Pugh. “Collectively our goal will be to expand the foundational brand, supported by the unrivaled success and financial strength of Berkshire Hathaway.”

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Drysdale Properties currently has 49 offices and over 1,300 agents in Northern California and Northern Nevada. The brokerage has won numerous awards and offers multiple platforms for agents to choose from.
